The 2026 Cherry Blossom Viewing: Business Cooperation & Fortune Global 500 Dialogue with Hubei, an annual business event held in Hubei during the cherry blossom season, opened in Wuhan on March 31, 2026.
At the opening ceremony, three new international logistics channels, including the air cargo route linking Ezhou and São Paulo at the Ezhou Huahu International Airport, the China-Europe freight train service linking Wuhan and Baku, and the river-sea multimodal transport route linking the Yangluo Port in Wuhan and Tunisia, were simultaneously announced to open.
The three newly launched channels cover air cargo, rail freight, and river-sea multimodal transport, closely connecting South America, Central Asia, and North Africa with Hubei.
In recent years, Hubei has continued to improve its integrated transportation system encompassing rail, road, water, and air transport, with a modern logistics network taking shape at an accelerated pace. Ezhou Huahu International Airport, Asia's largest and the world's fourth-largest professional cargo hub, has opened 116 domestic and international cargo routes. It handled 1.48 million tonnes of cargo and mail in 2025, ranking fifth nationwide. The China-Europe freight train serivce in Wuhan now surpass 1,000 trips annually, reaching 41 countries and regions across Eurasia. Wuhan Yangluo Port connects to 117 ports worldwide, allowing large vessels to sail directly into the city.
